Shillong Polytechnic, which was started in 1965, is one of the most popular technical college situated at Mawlai Kynton Massar, Shillong, Meghalaya. This affiliated college approved by All India Council for Technical Education has been producing technical talent for over fifty plus years. Located in a huge campus of sixteen point one acre of area, Shillong Polytechnic has all the favorable condition that is required for a prosperous academic world. It has a total population of 501 students and 27 members of faculties; and the Institute is in a good student-faculty ratio.
Shillong Polytechnic has several facilities which seek to improve on the existing convenience of the students [The institute has many facilities that aim at improving on convenience the student is accorded]. The modern library contains approximately of 1700 books reflecting various branches of engineering, mathematics, physics, chemistry and economics all necessary for students within their studies. The college also offers accommodation services for both male and female, to host students from different parts of the country and beyond.
