It is a co—educational institution offering four different course in the field of Pharmacy. These are a four year program that produces a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma), two year program that produces a Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma), and two years Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) programs in Pharmacognosy and Pharmaceutics.

For the admission in B.Pharma program first it provides the entrance exam known as Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET). The Candidate Should Pass the 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics/ Biology subject.
D.Pharma
The Candidate Should Pass the Minimum qualification for admission to the Diploma in Pharmacy Part-I course -A pass in any of the following examinations with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics.
M.Pharm Pharmacognosy
The Candidate Should Pass a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent degree obtaining at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying examination.
M.Pharm Pharmaceutics
The Candidate Should Pass a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent degree obtaining at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying examination.
M.Pharm Pharmacology
All those candidates who have passed B. Pharmacy from a recognized Indian University as established by law in India with at least 55%(50% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category)marks in aggregate with valid GPAT score shall be eligible to apply for Master’s program in Pharmacy (M Pharma) Course. In case seats haven’t been filled under respective categories, admission shall be considered based on Inter-se-merit in the qualifying examination.
