Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics at Margao was set up in 1973 at the state of Goa, India. This affiliated college with NAAC recognition has a vast course in offering commerce, management, and computer applications streams. The college occupies a small piece of land of 3.05 hectare and has a total of 1283 students and 83 members of faculty. Gendere breakdown of the institution is; 52% male students and 48% female students The institution offers 9 courses across 8 degree programmes in commerce business administration and computer applications.
Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics boasts of modern facilities that have been established with an aim of improving on the delivery of its curial services. The highly computerised library stocks 32000 plus books, 18 magazines, 28 journals along with various E-resources enriching the academic resources of the college. For those who are supported by exercise and sports, there is a new gym equipped with the latest equipment on the territory of the university. The college also has well equipped and modern information technologies which keep the students updated dealing with the modern technology. The cafeteria is full of lights with comfortable and colorful seats for socialising, and more events, seminars, etc., in the auditorium. This has been exhibited by having a SPRTs complex, laboratories, and officially promoting co curricular activities such as NSS and NCC within the college.
The courses offered by Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics are enough flexible to meet all students needs. It offers 9 programmes which include 6 under full time undergraduate programmes, 2 post graduate programmes and 1 doctoral programme BCA ,BBA and M.Com . Lecturer colleges have total approved capacity of 485 students all over the courses offered in the college. For the year 2022, college received total of 1283 students out of which 1220 were in under graduate and 63 in post graduate.
It is to mention that, Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics follows the policy of openness of admission and merit. It was however not clear when specific examination of this nature are written but for admission to any of the aforesaid courses the college takes into consideration performance in other qualifying tests most relevant to these courses. The institution provides scholarships for eligible students whereby 112 students undertaking undergraduates and 2 students undertaking postgraduate courses received reimbursements in the year 2022. This commitment to financial assistance serves a clear shows the colleges commitment towards affordable quality education for all. Its alumni, though not peculiar to the college, must comprise of working or business personalities who have positively impacted the various areas of commerce, management and technology.

M.Com
The candidate must have passed the B.Com program with at least 40%. Admission is granted to the candidates applied for based on the percentage of marks obtained at B.Com in the order of merit.
B.Com
To be eligible for admission to the First Year of the Three Year Integrated Course leading to the Degree of B.Com from Goa University, a candidate must have passed
- Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) Examination conducted by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (henceforth referred to as Goa Board) in the Commerce Stream OR
- Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) Examination in Vocational Stream conducted by the Goa Board in the subjects notified by Goa University OR
- The Std. XII (Commerce) or similar examination of another body is equivalent to the Goa Board and recognized as such by Goa University.
- Such students must obtain a Provisional Eligibility Certificate (on payment of an Eligibility Fee of Rs.200/-) from Goa University at the time of seeking admission (the eligibility fee for foreign students is US$ 50, payable at Goa University). They must also produce a Final Eligibility Certificate from Goa University, before appearing for the examination, failing which their results will be withheld.
BCA
A person, who has passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, shall be eligible for the course.
BBA Financial Services
Candidates should be eligible for admission to BBA (FS) Programme a candidate shall be required to have passed the Standard XII Examination or its equivalent in any stream with 50% marks.
