Shree Raghavendra College of Education, Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, established in 2005, is the exclusive teacher education institute in the region. Established in the Keezhamoongiladi in Chidambaram, it is a co-educational college which aims at producing future educators. The institute is located in an area of 1.1 acre area and is an affiliated college recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Shree Raghavendra College of Education enrols 188 students in total and has a capacity of designing faculty of 10, which gives a specialised training ground for the future teachers.

Shree Raghavendra College of Education has a number of amenities meant to improve the learning environment of students in the college. The IT infrastructure includes a computer lab with 25 systems, providing a 1:4 relationship of the course for the acquisition of practical experience and fundamentals of computer operations. There is also special physical science labs in the college in that teacher-trainees can practice practicals in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Shree Raghavendra College of Education offers one primary course, the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme. This course is a full-time course and it takes two years to complete, and for which the institution has an approved capacity of one hundred. This is a professional course aimed at producing teaching professional with pedagogy and content knowledge upon completion of the programme. Despite the fact that the college mainly offers this central teacher training course, students are offered a broad curriculum based educational package that blends theory with practice.
