Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Technology and Science, Dehradun, or in short, SGRRITS, Dehradun, is one of the premier educational institutions that was founded in 1994. The campus of the constituent college at Patel Nagar, Dehradun, has a sprawling 12.5 acres with 76 faculty members presently imparting education in 21 courses in 11 degree programs. Specializations of this institute are found in Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, and Computer Applications, thus meeting the educational expectations of the students in these diversified disciplines.
SGRRITS feels proud about its world-class facilities that help leverage the learning experience for its students. Institute has a well-stocked central library with more than 40,000 volumes and subscription to a number of national and international journals. The whole campus is equipped with modern computer labs having 300 terminals equipped with the latest hardware and software configurations. There are two auditoriums in this institution—one with a seating capacity of 150 and another with a capacity of 365—where regular seminars and functions are held.

In the case of SGRRITS, Dehradun, the admission process varies for all courses. While for an MBA, admission is based on the national level entrance test like CAT, CMAT, or MAT followed by counselling conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University, for a BBA and B.Sc. program, mostly students will be admitted through merit or by conducting an entrance examination. In the case of MCA Lateral Entry, the admissions are conducted on the basis of a written test and counseling by Uttarakhand Technical University. The students can get admission in B.Pharma Programme through entrance examination scores. But in the case of M. Pharma, priority will be given to those students with valid GPAT scores. SGRRITS accepts various national-level entrance exams, including CAT, CMAT, MAT, and GPAT, depending upon the course.

MCA Lateral Entry
BCA, B.Sc. (IT or CS) with a minimum 50% mark. Those who are appearing for their final year graduation examination can also apply.
BCA
The candidate should have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent in any discipline with minimum 45% marks but maths as a compulsory subject in 10+2.
BBA
The Candidate should have Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent in any discipline with minimum 45% marks from the recognized Board.
MHA
Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years duration with minimum 45% marks in any stream. Those who are appearing for final year graduation examination can also apply.
B.Sc Information Technology
The candidate should have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent in any discipline with minimum 45% marks from the recognized Board.
B.Sc Biotechnology
The candidate should have passed Intermediate (PCB) with a minimum of 45% marks from the recognized Board.
B.Sc Agriculture
The candidate should have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent exam with Maths/ Biology/Agriculture/ Forestry group with minimum 50% marks.
M.Sc Microbiology
The candidate should have passed B.Sc Microbiology, Medical Microbiology/ Medical Lab Technology/ Biochemistry/ Genetics/ CBZ/ Biotech or equivalent with minimum 50% marks.
M.Sc Biotechnology
The candidate should have passed B.Sc Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Genetics/ CBZ/ Biotech or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks.
M.Sc Botany
