Shri Pancham Khemraj Mahavidyalaya, Sawantwadi, is a college established in 1961. It is an affiliated institute, found in the state of Maharashtra. This college has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), which means that this institution provides quality education. Courses of the college have been spread across 7 degree programmes in one college campus spreading on 6 acres, with 11 courses under its own umbrella. With an enrolment strength of 1,006 students and a faculty strength of 50, the college ensures a healthy student-teacher ratio. In addition to this, the institution has a well-balanced gender distribution: 613 male and 917 female students. This enables an all-inclusive learning environment.
The college is well-equipped with modern facilities to serve the academic growth of its students as well as personality development. The institution also has well-equipped gym facilities that encourage the students toward physical fitness. An auditorium is there for holding various kinds of events and seminars. The college is very much dedicated to practical learning; well-maintained laboratories are there for every department. In order to keep pace with the digital world, excellent IT infrastructure is provided by the institution also. An on-campus cafeteria also exists, and students and staff can sit there and interact with others.
Shri Pancham Khemraj Mahavidyalaya offers a wide assortment of courses for students as knowledge interests vary. The college offers 11 courses, which include both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Undergraduate offers BA, B.Com, and B.Sc course for students. Postgraduate courses are as diverse as the undergraduate ones. M.Com in Accountancy, MA in English, Hindi, and Economics; M.Sc in Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology; and a Ph.D. in Zoology form part of the postgraduate courses offered to students with a bent towards research.
