Sir Dr. M.S. Gosavi Polytechnic Institute was established in 2016 and has become a prominent technical institution in Nashik, Maharashtra. The institute is a co-personal school and is located along the Nashik-Pune Highway. The institution is one among the institutes affiliated to the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. The place covers an expanse of 1.7 acres. Asides from that, the campus offers a range of diploma programmes in the engineering stream. The total student enrolment is 140, while the faculty strength is 37, whereby the staff-to-student ratio is suitable for ensuring a focused learning environment.
The Sir Dr. M.S. Gosavi Polytechnic Institute offers speciality diploma courses in the fields of Civil, Computer, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering. It offers a number of facilities for students to gain holistic education. It uses the bar-coding technology in management for day-to-day transactions through the online ERP software for effectiveness.
Sir Dr. M.S. Gosavi Polytechnic Institute offers a total four courses, having three years' duration in each. The total approved intake for the college remains at 210 seats. Civil Engineering Diploma, 30 seats, 60 seats in each of the Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering Diploma programmes. All these programmes are aimed at well-establishing students in their respective courses and fields, leading them toward a bright career in the engineering sector.

Diploma in Civil Engineering
The candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the SSC (Std. X) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent, with subjects Maths/Mathematics, General Science, and English with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks.
A. For Maharashtra State Board Candidates: –
a. The candidates who have passed SSC Examination before March 2009, the aggregate marks shall be total of marks obtained by the candidate in any 5 subjects where he/she has scored maximum marks.
b. The candidates who have passed the SSC Examination after March 2009, the aggregate marks shall be the total marks of 5 subjects taken into consideration and mentioned on the Mark sheet.
c. Candidates who have passed Maths/Mathematics (Code 71 for Maharashtra State Board candidates) and Science & Technology (Code 72 for Maharashtra State Board candidates) are only eligible for admission
d. In case marks against sports activities are given on the mark sheet, these shall be added to the aggregate marks for deciding merit
B. For ICSE Candidates:-
For students seeking admission based on Group 1 & Group 2 subjects only, the aggregate mark shall be the total of marks in any of the 5 subjects from Group 1& Group 2 where he/she has scored maximum marks.
For students seeking admission based on Group 1, Group 2 & Group 3, aggregate marks shall be the total of all subjects from all groups.
C. For CBSE Candidates:-
The CGPA is the average of Grade Points obtained in all the subjects excluding the additional 6th subject as per Scheme of Studies.
Subject-wise indicative percentage of marks = 9.5 x GP of the Subject.
Overall indicative percentage of marks = 9.5 x CGPA
D. For CBSE/ICSE Candidates: –
In case the result of the candidate is given in terms of grades, such Candidates are required to submit the graded result into the equivalent marks authorized
from the concerned institute/Board.
Candidates passing SSC from other than State Boards or Central Boards shall bring an equivalent certificate from the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE).
E. Any amendments/Acts/Judgments which may be published by Government/Hon. Courts of India from time to time will be applicable to Candidates and Institutes are covered under these rules of admission.
Diploma in Computer Engineering
