Sivaraj Siddha Medical College, Salem, was established during 2009– 2010 and is an affiliated college situated in Tamilnadu, India. Said to be spread over a 10-acre area, this co-educational institution focuses only on Siddha system of medicine which is one of the oldest forms of treatments. 30 Currently, the college provides a four-year programme Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS) for 244 students and has 41 faculty members. 

Sivaraj Siddha Medical College provides adequate facilities that can facilitate the growth of students in their physical and intellectual endeavours. A library good library contains over 25000 books and reference volumes, and subscription to professional journals and magazines. They also get to use other media such as CDs, CD-ROMs and DVDs in the library data base for use. Dedicated transport service is available with the college to ensure punctuality of the students due to its numerous service providing facilities. Hostel facilities for boys and girls that can accommodate seventy-five students each comprise properly built accommodations with modern amenities. The hostels include common rooms, gymnasium and sports fields making the hostels part of a lively community. At the campus there is a canteen that offers quality food that is also clean and charge reasonably. The college also has sophisticated practicals laboratory’s, hall and auditorium for events and seminars and health/nurse centre with first aid services.

Sivaraj Siddha Medical College shows a considerable concern in the over all establishment of Siddha medical education. It currently only run one full time programme in the Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery programme , which will take 5.5 years to complete. This programme is aimed at preparing students with comprehensive understanding of the Siddha medical systems with academic study in conjunction with hands on practice. 

The admission procedure at Sivaraj Siddha Medical College will take place as follows: The college admission will be through taking an entrance examination called National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Under Graduate (NEET UG). Even though, to apply for admission within the specified course, aspiring students must have a valid NEET UG score. This helps in making sure that the college admit students who have a good background in the basic sciences something that is very important if one is to practice Siddha medicine.
