Affiliated with the University of Mumbai, Sophia College for Women, Mumbai is recognised for its academic excellence with an ‘A’ grade thrice by NAAC. Also, the UGC granted the college autonomy in 2018.
This autonomous status allows Sophia College to design its own UG and PG curriculums, while degrees are awarded by Mumbai Vidyapeeth. Admission to UG courses is based on merit while PG courses require academic scores, entrance and interview performance for admission.
The campus life of Sophia College for Women Mumbai includes clubs and associations such as the Art and Design Club, English Literary Society, Association of Christian Students (ACS) and others. The institute is facilitated with hostels, medical facilities, a gym, a cafeteria, an auditorium and laboratories.
