Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Proddatur, Andhra Pradesh, is a co-educational institute which commenced functioning in the year 2008. The institution is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur, and the courses run by this institution are Pharmacy Council of India approved from New Delhi. SLVIPS offers courses spanning the pharmaceutical sector in all its comprehensiveness. The institute offers 6 full-time courses at the diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels: D.Pharma, B.Pharma, M.Pharma with Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, and Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance, and Pharm.D. All these programmes add up to a total approved intake of 262, out of which B.Pharma has the highest intake of 100 seats.
Admission to SLVIPS is different for all courses. Admissions to the undergraduate and doctoral courses are based on eligibility and a selection process. Particularly, for admissions at the postgraduate level to M.Pharm. courses, national-level entrance exams are required, such as the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test conducted by National Board of Examinations and the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test. These examinations are usually conducted in the first half of the year, with GPAT usually conducted in January and AP PGECET conducted in May or June. Candidates who find themselves eligible for the test need to get registered for the counselling process in order to seek admission.

Pass in HSC/PDC/PUC/AISSC/HISC (10+2) or equivalent with an individual pass in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Botany & Zoology (or) Mathematics both theory and practical with a minimum of 40% marks and with not less than 50% aggregate marks in the above subjects is mandatory to pass in English with a minimum of 40% marks is mandatory for all categories

Passed Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy. Obtained at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination.
M.Pharma Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance
A candidate who has passed the B.Pharma degree examination of the GPAT/PGECET and who has secured not less than 50% of the maximum marks shall be eligible for admission to the M.Pharm course.

10+2 science academic stream with Physics. Chemistry, Mathematics, or Biology.

Diploma in Pharmacy from a PCI-approved institution.
D.Pharma
The candidate should have passed the 10th Std./ SSC examination. Obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.
