Sri Vaddamanu Chidanandam Memorial Polytechnic based at Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh has been the place which has been chiseling the technical talent for the last thirty long years of its existence since the year 1981. Located on 4-2-15 Nellore Road Gopavaram Mandal Badvel it is the premier technical institute of the area. Located near the Eastern bypass, the polytechnic occupies a large piece of land of 25 acres and therefore provides favourable learning conditions. It functions as an affiliated college recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and provides education that meet current industry requirements. The institute’s current student population is 268 enrolled in different programmes and facilitated by a 6-member strong faculty.
A library fully equipped is an essential thinking resource centre for academic purposes. Sri Vaddamanu Chidanandam Memorial Polytechnic has laboratories for all of its departments and is essential for practical experience required for technical education. An auditorium is designed to accommodate events and seminars; therefore, it helps students develop an interactive environment. In as much as the student’s’ health is concerned the polytechnic holds a health centre with provisions of first aid forms. There is also appropriately equipped cafeteria, sport complex, well-developed IT centre , which contributes to the comprehensive student’s automatisation.
At present, the Sri Vaddamanu Chidanandam Memorial Polytechnic College extends its full time diploma courses for a total of five courses under one degree- Diploma in Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering etc. They offered across a range of engineering specialisations and cover areas of interest and requirements within industries.
