Sudhakarrao Naik Institute of Pharmacy is a well-renowned institution in pharmaceutical education, founded in the year 1983 and situated in Pusad, Maharashtra. It is a co-educational institute offering Diploma to Ph.D. in Pharmacy courses on a 6.4-acre campus. SNIOP is duly accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India. With a total enrolment of 400 students and a faculty strength of 22, the institute provides a conducive environment for pharmaceutical education. SNIOP offers 9 courses across 4 degree levels, specialising in various aspects of pharmacy including Pharmaceutics, Industrial Pharmacy, Pharmacology, and Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
The Sudhakarrao Naik Institute of Pharmacy boasts an array of facilities designed to enhance the learning experience of its students. The well-equipped library has more than 4,247 books valued at Rs. 7,96,820, along with a periodical collection and pharmaceutical journals from India and abroad. The laboratories of SNIOP are spacious, well-ventilated, and set in a manner to provide convenience and ease to students for practical learning. Boys and girls' hostels are provided with the girls' hostel accommodating 55 students. It also provides outdoor and indoor sports facilities for games such as football, cricket, badminton, and table tennis to the sports-minded. The institute also provides free internet access to the students for 10 hours annually so that the students will keep themselves up-to-date with the latest happening in pharmacy sciences.
SNIOP imparts a wide range of courses related to the field of pharmacy. The institute imparts 9 full-time courses, out of which there is 1 diploma programme, 1 undergraduate programme, 3 postgraduate programmes, and 4 doctoral programmes. The institute's total intake for all courses comes to the extent of 177. For D.Pharma and B.Pharma, there are 60 seats each, and for postgraduate and doctoral programmes, there are different numbers of seats.

Admission at SNIOP to different programmes is done on the following basis:. The candidates, for the B.Pharma programme, have to get a non-zero score in the MHT-CET Boys'conducted by the Competent Authority, Maharashtra. As for the M.Pharma, the Institute provides admission on the basis of GPAT scores; however, the candidates without valid GPAT scores may also apply based on: the MAH–MPH–CET non-zero score, subject to the availability of seats after GPAT qualified candidates.

M.Pharma Industrial Pharmacy
A candidate who has passed a B.Pharm. degree or appeared in the final year / final semester of B.Pharm from any AICTE-approved institution affiliated with the University (approved by UGC), subject to the condition that they must produce proof of passing B.Pharm. examination as per M.Pharm. admission eligibility criterion in original at the time of admission by counseling round.
M.Pharma Pharmaceutics
A candidate who has passed the B.Pharm. degree or appeared in the final year / final semester of B.Pharm from any AICTE-approved institution affiliated with the University (approved by UGC), subject to the condition that they must produce proof of passing B.Pharm. examination as per M.Pharm. admission eligibility criterion in original at the time of admission by counseling round.
M.Pharma Pharmacology

B.Pharma
The Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics AND Secured minimum of 45% marks i.e. not less than 135 marks out of 300 marks (minimum 40% marks i.e. not less than 120 marks out of 300 marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics added together (Maximum of marks obtained in Biology/Mathematics shall be considered for the purpose of addition) AND Obtained a nonzero score at MHT-CET.
Admission to Direct Second year of four-year Degree courses in Pharmacy (B.Pharm.):
The Candidate must be an Indian National and should have passed the Post-HSC Diploma Course in Pharmacy with at least 50 % marks (45% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories belonging only to Maharashtra State) from an AICTE-approved Institution with English as the medium of instruction at Diploma level.
D.Pharma
The Candidate Should Pass For admission to the first year/semester of the Diploma Course in Pharmacy, the candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics and secured minimum 40% marks i.e. 120 marks out of 300 marks (35% marks i.e. 105 marks out of 300 marks for backward class category candidates from Maharashtra State only) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics added together.
Ph.D Pharmaceutics
- Master’s Degree holders satisfying the criteria stipulated under Clause 2 above.
- Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. course work with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) and successfully completing the M.Phil. Degree shall be eligible to proceed to do research work leading to the Ph. D. Degree in the same Institution in an integrated program. A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC(non-creamy layer)/differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
- A person whose M.Phil. dissertation has been evaluated and the viva voce is pending may be admitted to the Ph.D. program of the same Institution. Candidates possessing a Degree considered equivalent to M.Phil. Degree of an Indian Institution, from a Foreign Educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized, or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions, shall be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. program.
Ph.D Pharmaceutical Chemistry
- Master’s Degree holders satisfying the criteria stipulated under Clause 2 above.
