Suguna College of Engineering, Coimbatore, was started in the year 2012 and it is an affiliated college situated Tamil Nadu, India. This institution occupies a 2.5 acres campus, and has 283 students enroled for its offered engineering programmes. The college is affiliated to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and recognises by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Suguna College of Engineering has a teaching faculty of 94 members hence offering a small student to faculty ratio which is improving the student learning and interaction.
Suguna College of Engineering has a number of facilities which are contemporary, and are established to improve the teaching and learning process as well as personal development of the learners. The campus infrastructure includes highly-glorified boys’ and girls’ hostels to make sure that learners living in hostels enjoy the best living standards. Tea bar and beverage stations that include drinking water and fruits & nuts assure that students are fed and watered at all times, and a health centre with first aid facilities are devoted to health and wellness for all students , and the gymasium is for toning. The college library with books and journals including more than 7,500 volumes of technical books dailies and weekly magazines can be regarded as an interactive knowledge centre for the students and faculties.
For a sporting person the college has separate indoor, as well as outdoor sporting facilities like wooden hall for badminton and volley ball, expansive ground with tracks for athletic. Entertainments with cultural aspect are held in the large hall which can accommodate 2 000 people. Suguna College of Engineering’s mission statement is to provide a quality education to its students. These are among facilities that the institution provides in order to facilitate student’s academic and personal development. There is a 24-hour Wi-Fi enabled campus and fully equipped laboratory to improve the practical lessons, and the computerised centre where students are able to access almost 200 computers.
Suguna College of Engineering has a total of 9 courses for its students in all disciplines of engineering at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It offer full time BE/B.Tech programmes in streams like Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Also, to improve its portfolio, the college has equity programmes such as B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering, and Advanced Communication Technology. Students enroled at the postgraduate level can do a Master of Technology in Advanced Communication Technology. The college offered different programmes and intakes its total 283 students in order to provide a personalised learning environment.
