Swami Dharm Bandhu College of Education was established in the year 2015 and is a co-education teacher training college in Hazaribagh. This affiliated college is situated in Hazaribag district of Jharkhand and is run as per norms of NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education). These programmes are meant to provide student with requisite education and knowledge to allow him or her to practice teaching profession well.

Swami Dharm Bandhu College of Education gives admission according to merit acquired through plus two marks and/or entrance examination marks if any. The college in general operates under the rules and regulations concerning admission policies of the Jharkhand state government and the university to which it is affiliated with. In addition to the above, candidates seeking admission to B.Ed programme may also have to undergo other selection tests as may be prescribed by this University from time to time. Likewise, the D.El.Ed admission is merit- based where marks secured in the qualifying examination from any recognised examination and marks obtained in state level entrance test if any is also considered.
