Located in Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh, Swathi College of Pharmacy, Venkatachalam was established in the year 2009. This co-educational institution offers various programmes in the field of pharmacy. Swathi College of Pharmacy offers a total of 6 courses under the stream of both graduate and postgraduate. The institute provides full-time courses in the varied specialisations of pharmacy. The approved intake for the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) programme is 100 students. Other courses offered include the Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma), Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.), Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate, and Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharma) in the specialisations of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmaceutics.
The admission depends on the programme from the college. The minimum age for admission is 16 years for both the B. Pharma and D. Pharma programmes without any upper age limit. Admission to the Pharm.D course is through AP EAMCET, the Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test. For the M. Pharma courses, the state government conducts AP PGECET, the Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test every year during May or June. 70% of the admissions are on the base of the GPAT rank, and the rest of the seats are filled up on the basis of the PGECET rank. The institution also gives admission to these courses on the basis of the result of the NIPER JEE and BITS HD.
