One of the major institutes in the year 2004 is Tatyasaheb Kore College of Pharmacy, Panhala, which is located at Warananagar in Maharashtra. The admission procedure in TKCP is based on the directions issued by DTE, Maharashtra State, and hence strictly on merit. In undergraduate admissions, candidates are admitted based on performance in the state-level entrance examination.

For First Year B. Pharm.
- Candidates should have passed the HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with: Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) and English or Physics, Chemistry, Maths (PCM) and English or Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, and English. Should have secured minimum 50 % marks (45% for backward class candidates from Maharashtra) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, Maths (PCM) taken together and passed in the same sitting.
For Direct Admission to Second Year B. Pharm.:
- The candidates should have passed HSC examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics (or both) from Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Maharashtra state or equivalent and Diploma course in Pharmacy (as ER 91 Regulations of PCI), from an institution approved by PCI and conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education or Diploma in Pharmacy recognized as equivalent to the Diploma awarded by the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education in First class ( 60%) in one attempt. (Candidates who have not offered Mathematics at 12th Std. shall have to appear and pass in the subject Remedial Maths during the course.).
