It is for the record that TC College of Teachers Education and Social Work with its centre in Kangpokpi, Manipur started its journey in 2015. It is a coeducational college affiliated with a university and aims to educate future educators and professional social works. The college campus is 7 acres and has total enrolment capacity of 116 students with only 21 faculty members which helps in giving personal touch along with quality education. Recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), TC College delivers a teacher education programme that helps students to prepare for a career in teaching.

TC College of Teachers Education has a very strong focus on offering quality education to students, academic support and resources, and fostering students’ personal development based on the principles of an enriched learning community with up-to-date learning resources. The library serves as information centre providing ready source of information for teaching and learning. Co-curricular activity wise the physical built of the campus offers plethora of sports facility which helps in recreation, team building etc for those who are physically inclined. 

College is thrilled to have departmental laboratories that enable learners to polish their practical skills in their areas of specialisation. In line with the growing trend in information technology, TC College pride itself with high standard IT facilities to equip capable IT-oriented students. Some of the well-arranged classroom facilities ensure proper environment for learning and college discussions.

TC College of Teachers Education and Social Work currently offers one full-time course: The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme. This course is a two-year programme in order to produce professional and caring teachers with an initial cohort of 100 students. The B.Ed programme blends theory with practice being a professional preparation for the demands of twenty-first-century education. As much as this college concentrates on this narrow area of study they show a commitment to producing quality results and prepare the student to make a large positive impact in the area of education.
