Tezpur Law College was established in 1972. The major institution of legal education, Tezpur, Assam, is an affiliated college under the Bar Council of India. This college is running and grooming legal minds for more than five decades. Spread over a compact area of 2 acres, this campus provides an environment strictly dedicated to studies by the 481 students enrolled here with 14 faculty members.
The Moot Court is one of the major facilities in which practical legal education is imparted and goes a long way to provide students with an excellent opportunity to improve their advocacy skills in a simulated court environment. Tezpur Law College has invested in excellent IT infrastructure to help the students face the challenges of a digitised learning regime in order to practice law today.
Tezpur Law College undertakes two courses of law, which are 3-year LLB and 5-year integrated BA LLB. All the courses being full-time on-campus courses, this shows the commitment of the college towards an immersive legal education.

- Seeking admission into 5-year law course only 10th and 12th qualification suffices with 10th being the basic qualification for seeking admission into the 5-year law course.
- The qualifications of 10th and 12th may be obtained through any mode (distance/correspondence / open schooling method).
- And the Pass percentage is 45% for general category, 42% for OBC category, and 40% for SC/ST category.
LLB
- Seeking admission into 3-year law course qualifications needed are only 12th and three-year graduation, with 12th being the basic qualification for seeking admission into 3-year law course,
- The qualifications of 10th, 12th (+2) and graduation may be obtained through any mode (distance/correspondence / open schooling method).
- And the Pass percentage is 45% for general category, 42% for OBC category, and 40% for SC/ST category.
LLM
Candidates must have a three-year LLB degree or a three-year integrated LLB degree if equivalent LLB degree from a recognized University
Candidates must have obtained at least 55% marks in aggregate of the qualifying degree examination
For candidates of SC/ST category, a relaxation of 5% marks is provided i.e. they need to have 50% marks in the qualifying LLB degree exam.
