Thakur Shivkumarsingh Memorial Engineering College,also shortly known as TSEC, came in to existence in the year 2011 and is situated at Burhanpur of Madhya Pradesh. This affiliated college, recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), provides a lot of engineering courses for those beginners. With a sprawling campus of 10 Acres, TSEC Burhanpur has all the infrastructure facilities to promote academic success as well as all round personality development. Total student enrolment per batch is 518 and the faculty members of the college 53 for the favourable strength ratio per teacher to wipe out the congestion atmosphere and give adequate time to each student.

The Hostel of TSEC Burhanpur has plenty of modern amenities for creating better understanding surroundings for the students. The college level library acts as a repository centre, containing more than 1752 books on more than 250 titles and 15 journals and 4 newspapers. Regarding practical facilities, the institution boasts modern laboratories for experiments in several fields of engineering. The campus established computer laboratory with printed and internet connection and a 10 mbps leased line internet to facilitate the students with the provision internet resources. Further, since the college seeks to develop the total man, there are sporting facilities, a health service with a first aid section, and a cafeteria for snacks.

In engineering, the college presents a comprehensive list of engineering programmes; all these are full time programmes. TSEC Burhanpur offer at present only five B.Tech courses in the university namely Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. These courses have the total approved enrolment of 270 students, out of which maximum are 90 for Computer Science and Engineering. Every programme is developed with an understanding of the modern practices in the fields thereby ensuring that graduates who leave the institution are professional in their area of specialty.

Admissions are open at TSEC Burhanpur and are based on merit which means students who wish to be engineers but might not be able to afford the expenses are afforded the chance to be engineers. Since its establishment, the college has accepted the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main), a nationally standardised engineering entrance examination. This also helps the college adjust its admission need with standard need of premier engineering institution graduate in India.
