TIPS School of Architecture, Coimbatore, which commenced in 2019, is a relatively new architectural school in India. It is affiliated college in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and hold approval from the Council of Architecture for imparting quality education in architecture. TIPS School of Architecture is a small campus located on just 2 acres of land which provides intended learning environment for its students. The institute has a total enrolment of 16 students matched by an equal number of faculty members, providing an impressive 1:1 student-faculty ratio that our institution guarantees quality interaction and guidance to our students.
TIPS School of Architecture has various kinds of accommodation and other resources which are introduced to make the learning process as effective as possible. The well stocked reference section contains reference books, e-books, CD’s as also national and international journal useful for research and reference. Modern and well-equipped laboratories enable students and take part in practical activity, which helps to develop practical thinking in the future architects. There are also sports fields & amenities, canteen, an assembly hall for functions or lectures and seminar, a gym to helped in the overall development of the students. The institute also offers accommodation to students those who seek for it, it has boys’ hostel and girls’ hostel for students who have come from distant areas to study in this institute which provides them proper accommodation facilities.
TIPS School of Architecture has only a single course offering, the B.Arch programme. This five years degree programme is fulltime and the institution has approved a student intake of forty per academic year. The B.Arch course has been designed to give students the best understanding of architecture, how it works, and the methods of approaching the work as well as skills that the student should expect when working with the career.
The criteria of selection at TIPS School of Architecture are largely determined by the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA).
