The Universal College of Engineering and Technology was founded in the year 2008 and is one of the most leading institutions in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. This co-educational institute affiliated to Gujarat Technological University grants many aspiring students different engineering programs. UCET has approval from AICTE and thus offers education with quality and national standards. The institution has a student enrolment of 895, with a faculty strength of 40, offering a very positive student-to-staff ratio for individual attention and learning.

UCET aspires to provide state-of-the-art infrastructure to the students for better learning. This college has a well-stocked library with a vast collection of books, periodicals, and research papers pertaining to various engineering streams and management subjects. This is not only an academic resource centre but also a resource and innovation centre. Each department, such as Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and Electronics and Communication Engineering, is facilitated with well-equipped, modern laboratories on the campus, through which the students gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience. It has a dedicated Internet Lab with 15 Mbps Leased Line and 60 Computers based on a Centralised Server System so that the students of UCET have the most updated information and resources for their academic pursuits. 

The Institute offers four undergraduate BE programs satisfying diversified interests in Engineering. The undergraduate full-time courses are BE in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. This wide array of course curriculum allows students to opt for a subject of interest and career building in the versatile field of engineering.

The admission process is quite transparent and free from bias in UCET. Institute decides its admission on the basis of scores obtained by the candidate in the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET). This state-level test is a doorway to enable hopeful designers to take affirmation in different designing schools of Gujarat.
