Vaagdevi College of Engineering is a well known and approved self financing college situated in Bollikunta village, Warangal Urban, Telangana and was established during 1998 which is an autonomous college. Recognised by NAAC and approved by AICTE, the college occupies a 60-acre of land. As present, it records 3,839 students, 2,600 male and 1,209 female students across the institute; the institute fosters student diversity. The college has a faculty of 292 members and more than 16 courses in 3 degree programmes in the field of engineering, management, and computer applications.

Vaagdevi College of Engineering boasts of offering a number of facilities that are necessary in delivering effective learning to the offered courses. This has made the library to be well stocked in books, news papers and journals both nationally and internationally. Self-facilities include NPTEL video lectures, e-books, and e-journals available in a digital library. Vaagdevi College of Engineering has 7 UG B.Tech programmes, 9 Postgraduate M.Tech specialisations, MBA and MCA Programmes. It offers full and part time programmes. The aggregate enrolment in all the programmes is 1830. 

To get admission at Vaagdevi College of Engineering the students have to appear for entrance tests. For B.Tech programmes, TS EAMCET is held for admission purpose. On that basis, admission to the MBA programme is done through the Telangana Integrated Common Entrance Test (TSICET). For M.Tech programmes, the college accepts GATE/TS PGECET scores. The institute also considers other exams like GATE for other courses offered in the institute. Scholarship is available for students at Vaagdevi College of Engineering.
