Vaishno College of Engineering, Kangra, was established in 2010 and is an affiliated college in Thapkour Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh. The institute is recognised by AICTE which is the All India Council for Technical Education and offers engineering courses. Located on a 15 acre piece of land, the college takes an overall student strength of 564 and has a teaching staff of 33 members. Vaishno College of Engineering offers B. Tech and Diploma courses in various fields of engineering to meet the educational requirements for engineering aspirants in that region

Vaishno College of Engineering also prides itself on having a full range of amenities to cater for the needs of the leaners. The hostels at the campus are provided separately for boys and girls which comprises of spacious furnished rooms equipped with solar heated water, backup power supply etc. Equipped library is focal centre where knowledge stores important collection of textbooks, reference materials, journals and periodicals. The college is also concerned with students’ health with the provision of a first aid facility at the health centre. Playing fields for indoor and outdoor games for recreation and health is also a part of our facility since it also improves team culture and leadership amongst the students.

The IT systems are well developed, computer laboratories containing Dual Core and Core 2 Duo systems, the establishment has a leased line of 40 Mbps for internet connectivity. A large canteen, a hall for meetings, and conferences, and a shop to buy different necessities help students’ daily needs and offer them convenient areas for communication.

Here, Vaishno College of Engineering offers a total 7 programmes in two levels - Diploma level & Bachelor or B.Tech level. The B.Tech programmes are 4 year, full time programmes and the Diploma programmes are 3 year, full time programmes as well. The institute offers a broad area of engineering disciplines such as B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The total qualified intake for these courses is 240 students, while the capacity of each programme in B.Tech and Diploma is thirty.

Himachal Pradesh Combined Entrance Test HPCET admission is the main procedure followed by Vaishno College of Engineering. This is a major criterion at the state level for students who would wish to pursue this college and the various engineering courses offered therein. HPCET is used in the institute for the selection process and it covers the number of seats available for the different courses offered in the institute. As for the latter, general admission dates are not specified; however, the student is expected to monitor the HPCET exam schedule and follow the admission period posted at the college.
