Vignan Pharmacy College, Vadlamudi was established in the year 2006 and has been a pioneering institution of pharmacy education since then. The college is co-ed and spread on 3.69 acres in Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, approved by the Pharmacy Council of India. All types of courses related to pharmacy—B.Pharma, M.Pharma, and Pharma.D— are offered in the affiliated college. With an overall enrolment of 554 students and 43 faculty members, the diversity of the student body is such that undergraduates make up 68%, and postgraduates 32%. Female participants, interestingly enough, are at an advantage, comprising 63% in the UG and 70% in the PG program, which is reflective of a progressive educational atmosphere.

Much investment is undertaken to provide an impressive suite of facilities for students so that they have every opportunity to achieve their learning objectives and quality life. These laboratories are well equipped to provide practical training, which is an indispensable part of pharmacy education. In this regard, the library acts as the core knowledge center of the institution and provides access to a vast amount of information to both students and staff. For research-based studies, sophisticated IT infrastructure is also provided. 

Besides, medical facilities in the campus, gymnasium, and sports amenities are due to the emphasis laid on the wellness of the students. There are facilities for on-campus hostel accommodations for boys and girls as well, providing a comfortable living environment. The canteen in the college premises also offers a spot where students are able to relax with friends in between classes. An auditorium with an appealing look serves a wide range of academic and extracurricular functions throughout the year.

Vignan Pharmacy College has offered a total of four courses through three-degree levels. These include a B.Pharma, two Master programs (M.Pharma in Pharmaceutics and M.Pharma in Pharmaceutical Analysis), and one doctoral programme, Pharm.D. All the courses are full time, and therefore, they reflect the stance of the college in a full, focused, pharmaceutical setup. For such programs, the total intake approved is 120 per year, with 60 positions at B.Pharma, and then 15 positions for all of its M.Pharma programs plus 30 for Pharm. D. Such diverse array of programs allows different categories of interest within the drug fraternity, thereby offering various courses of action to pharmaceuticals.

The admissions at Vignan Pharmacy College are fair and all-inclusive. Pharmacy colleges usually admit the students keeping in view their academic background and their aptitude skills for the relevant subjects of study besides the scores obtained by the students in pharmacy entrance examinations. The institute may accept scores from national and state levels of entrance tests for admissions into its programs.
