Vijay Memorial College of Education, Mandi was set up in the year 2006 recognised aided college situated at Mandi Himachal Pradesh. This co-educational institute is an affiliated college under the act of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), and is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Currently, the college is spread across a 2.08 acre of land, and offers two teacher education programmes with a total enrolment capacity of 266. The faculty from institute themselves is thirty nine, due to which the student faculty ratio is also generally good. Vijay Memorial College of Education offers two full-time courses: A B. Ed, or a degree of Bachelor of Education and a D.Ed, or a Diploma in Education . B.Ed programme has an approved intake capacity of 200 seats and D.Ed programme has an approved intake capacity of 50 seats. Both programmes are post secondary professional programmes that focus on education and lasts for two years each. Through training teachers, the college plays a great role in ensuring that quality human resource is produced in that region. The college has 264 first and second level graduates which correspond to its intake capability of 266 students per year, and confirms the continual existence of demand for its curriculum.

The requirements for admission in Vijay Memorial College of Education differ according to the programme of the student. For the B.Ed course, the merit criteria is utilised to give admission depending on the academic performance in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test or any other mode as stipulated under the policy of the state government/UT administration. The D.Ed programme again has a more regulated procedure as the CET is conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala and after ward the counselling also takes place.
