Established in the year 2008 in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, Vivekanand College of Technology and Management sprawls over an immense 10.703-acre campus. The institute offers varied technical and management programs on a very professional platform. VCTM, Aligarh, is an AICTE-approved institution with an enrolment of 790 students and a faculty strength of 89.
The college has a number of facilities which make the academic and personal growth of students more resourceful. VCTM, Aligarh has separate hostels for boys and girls, which are well-maintained, comfortable, and provide the atmosphere most congenial for the students to pursue academic collaboration and personal growth. The college library is rich in knowledge with over 20,000 books and subscribes to several national and international journals besides e-resources. Apart from this, there are well-equipped laboratories, an auditorium specially made for the cultural activities, and cafeterias at various places on the campus. First-aid facilities are also there along with a part-time physician for the medical assistance of the students paying good attention to the health of the students.
VCTM Aligarh offers 12 courses at its different levels of education. It ranges from B.Tech in seven programmes, further extending to Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering; Information Technology and Agricultural Engineering . The University also offers two M.Tech Programmes, Production Engineering and Structural Engineering, and one MBA Programme. There is also a combination of Mechanical and Civil Engineering diploma. The course offering is highly diversified and caters to various domains in academic interest and fields that will be sought by the entrants.

Admission to VCTM, Aligarh is done through an admission process at various levels for different programs. The usual criterion of admission to the B.Tech course is through performance in the entrance examination conducted for the respective program. Admissions to M.Tech will be done according to the qualifying marks in GATE, that is, Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. In case a student has passed GATE, then it is perfect proof that a person with ease coped with an engineering basic level. The MBA program has to have its own admission criteria; initials may be entrance exams and personal interviews. The college accepts scores of exams like GATE and B.Pharma for their admission process to some of their programs.
