Vivekananda Institute of Technology and Science (VITS Karimnagar) was started in the year 2004 in Karimnagar, Telangana. This affiliated college approved by the AICTE is providing various diverse and technical courses and programmes. Situated in an area of 10.03 acres, VITS Karimnagar has a total student enrolment of 1150 and faculty staffs of 97. The institute offers 12 courses in 3 degrees, and all focus on different branches of engineering which makes this institute a suitable forum for young technologists and engineers in this part of the world.
VITS Karimnagar is determined to offer suitable learning atmosphere accompanied by excellent facilities. It is also having a well-stocked library hall occupying an area of 576 sq. m. with over 30,494 books and 5075 different titles available for borrowing and 243 national/international journal subscriptions. For sports people, the college boasts of outdoor facilities such as football, hockey, and cricket fields, basketball, tennis and volley ball courts. This campus has a well-equipped modern gymnasium and a fully air-conditioned auditorium of 450 seating capacity. VITS also offers facilities for the protection of the students’ health, accompanied by a health centre while a canteen offers different types of food at reasonable prices. Female students’ accommodation includes a secure on-campus girls hostel that is guarded round the clock with experienced wardens.
The institute provides its students with almost all the courses designed for different engineering fields. VITS offers six B.Tech programmes, out of which the programmes are Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, AI and Machine Learning, and Mechanical Engineering. They also deliver 2 M.Tech programmes in Embedded Systems as well as Machine Design. It also offers 4 diploma programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering and Electronics and Communications Engineering. These courses shall be meant to give students a theoretical background, combined with practical experience, necessary to triumph in the given field.

It can also be said that admission policy at VITS Karimnagar is very systematic and quite clear. Thirty percent of the seats for the B.Tech programme are filled by the government of Telangana through counselling, and the rest 70 percent are filled by the management through TS EAMCET or intermediate merit. Admission to Diploma courses is offered through the Telangana State Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (TS POLYCET). The institute provides admission based on the available scores of the students in different entrance tests like TS EAMCET, TS ECET, TS POLYCET, etc.

Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
