Yogananda Institute of Technology and Science was established in 2008 at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. This affiliated college sprawls over 16 acres of land, offering undergraduate and postgraduate levels with a diversified number of programs in engineering. More popularly known as YITS Tirupati, the institution has a student enrolment of 511 and a faculty strength of 126 to maintain an optimum student-teacher ratio.
The infrastructure of the Institute is well-equipped and suited to further the learning experience that students derive. The boys' and girls' hostel accommodations are provided separately by YITS Tirupati, where 600 male students and 300 female students are accommodated in respective hostels. All these hostels are homely and, furthermore, security and medical aid are provided round the clock. The College Library is a hub of knowledge with an immense volume of more than 15,000 volumes of textbooks and reference books, a digital library, and well-maintained reading rooms. On-campus, a fully equipped gym for the health-conscious student body is also available. It has excellence in infrastructure in terms of IT, which serves the technological requirement of today's modern education. There is a big and hygienically maintained cafeteria, which caters to the culinary needs of the students and staff members. An auditorium also serves other special events and seminars.
YITS Tirupati offers a wide range of courses, right from five B.Tech programs to two M.Tech specializations. All programs are offered in full-time mode only. Each student enrolled in his/her chosen field is equipped with the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Some of the courses provided include Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. While the B.Tech course is spanned over four years of study, an M.Tech course spans over two years in totality.
